Mobile Ceramic Coating in Brisbane

Ceramic coating is a liquid protective layer that bonds to your paint and hardens into a slick, glossy shell. Dirt, bird droppings and water slide off more easily, and washing becomes quicker. We offer mobile ceramic coating Brisbane-wide, applied at your garage or carport after the paint has been properly prepared.

What's included

Most of a ceramic coating job is preparation. A coating seals in whatever is underneath it, including swirls and grit, so we wash, decontaminate and polish the paint first. Then we strip any oils, apply the coating panel by panel and leave it to cure.

Step What we do
Wash Hand wash, wheels and tyres
Decontaminate Iron fallout remover and clay bar
Polish Machine polish to improve gloss and clarity before coating
Panel wipe Remove polishing oils so the coating bonds to bare clear coat
Coat Apply the coating panel by panel and level it by hand
Inspect Check every panel under light for high spots
Aftercare Washing and curing advice for the first weeks

Paint correction and ceramic coating

The included polish is an enhancement. If your paint has heavy swirls or scratches, book paint correction first or on the same visit. Paint correction and ceramic coating together give the best finish, because the coating then locks in corrected paint rather than defects.

What is ceramic coating, exactly?

It's a semi-permanent protective layer, usually silica-based, that chemically bonds to the clear coat. It's harder and more durable than wax or a spray sealant. It is not a paint protection film. It won't stop stone chips, deep scratches or dents.

Who it suits

Ceramic coating suits owners who want their paint easier to care for over the long run, and who will wash the car by hand. It works best on new cars or on paint that's just been corrected.

It suits you if:

  • you've bought a new car and want to protect the paint early
  • your car lives outdoors and cops sun, sap and bird droppings
  • you're tired of waxing every couple of months
  • you've just had a cut and polish and want to keep the result

It's probably not worth it if the car goes through automatic brush washes every week, or if you plan to sell soon. A Pre-Sale Detail makes more sense then.

How a mobile visit works

Ceramic coatings are sensitive to the weather while they cure. We need dry, shaded conditions to apply one properly. That means a garage, carport or covered car park, out of direct sun, rain and heavy dew. We'll confirm your setup when you book, and if it's not suitable we'll talk through options.

  1. Book online and tell us where the car will be parked.
  2. We confirm the space, timing and whether paint correction is needed.
  3. Prep and coat. Wash, decontaminate, polish, panel wipe and coating.
  4. Curing. Keep the car dry and undercover for the time we advise, usually overnight at least.

We arrive self-sufficient where access allows, and we'll confirm water and power needs when you book. Coating jobs usually take most of a day or longer, depending on size and paint condition.

Aftercare in the first weeks

Avoid washing with soap for the first week or so, as the coating continues to harden. After that, hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and skip automatic brush washes. Our Fast Detail is a hand wash, so it's a safe way to keep a coated car clean.

FAQs

What is ceramic coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid protection, usually silica-based, that bonds to a car's clear coat and hardens into a thin, glossy layer. It repels water and dirt, makes washing easier and resists UV and chemical etching better than wax. It doesn't prevent stone chips or scratches.

How long does ceramic coating last?

It depends on the product, how well the paint was prepared, how the car is washed and how much sun it gets. Coatings generally last much longer than wax or spray sealants, but no coating is permanent and we don't guarantee a lifespan. Hand washing and garaging help it last longest.

How much does ceramic coating cost?

Our mobile ceramic coating is from $XX for a small car, including standard prep. Larger vehicles cost more, and paint correction before coating is priced separately. You'll see your price when you book.

Can ceramic coating be applied outside?

Not in direct sun, rain or high humidity. The coating needs dry, shaded conditions to bond and cure properly. A garage, carport or covered car park works. We'll confirm your space when you book.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Only if the paint has noticeable swirls or scratches. Our coating prep includes a polish that improves gloss, but heavier defects need a full correction first. Otherwise the coating will lock them in.

How do I wash a ceramic coated car?

Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and clean wash mitts, and dry with a soft microfibre towel. Avoid automatic brush washes and harsh degreasers. Rinse off bird droppings soon after they land.
