FAQs

What is car detailing?

Car detailing is a thorough, hands-on clean of a vehicle's interior and exterior, going well beyond a car wash. It covers areas a wash misses, like door jambs, seat seams, vents and wheels, and can include paint decontamination, polishing and protection. The aim is to restore the car's condition, not just remove surface dirt.

Do you need water and power?

We arrive self-sufficient where access allows; we'll confirm water and power needs when you book. Some sites, like basement car parks or busy streets, limit what we can bring in. If we need access to a tap or power point at your place, we'll tell you before the day so there are no surprises.

How long does a detail take?

It depends on the service and vehicle. A Fast Detail is the quickest. A Full Detail usually takes several hours, and a Complete Detail or paint correction can take most of the day. Larger vehicles and heavily soiled cars take longer. You'll get a time estimate when you book.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain doesn't stop most interior work, and we can often work under a carport, garage or undercover car park. If heavy rain or storms would affect the result or safety, we'll contact you to reschedule at no cost. Brisbane storms move fast, so we keep an eye on the radar on the day.

Can you detail my car in a unit complex?

Yes. We regularly work in unit and apartment car parks, including basements and visitor bays. Check your body corporate rules first, as some buildings restrict washing on site. If your building manager needs a copy of our insurance certificate, ask us and we'll send it through.

Do I need to be home while you work?

No. As long as we can access the car and you've left the keys somewhere safe that we've agreed on, you can be at work or out. Many customers book us at their workplace instead. We'll message you when the job's done so you can check it over.

When do I pay?

You pay on the day, after the job is finished and you've had a chance to look over the car. The price you see when you book is based on your vehicle size and the condition you describe. If the car's condition is very different, we'll talk to you before doing extra work.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. That lets us offer the time to someone else. Late cancellations or no-access on the day may attract a fee. Weather-related rescheduling by us is free. Full details are in our terms of service.

What should I remove from the car before you arrive?

Take out valuables, cash, cards, sunglasses and anything you don't want moved, plus child seats if you want the seats underneath cleaned. Empty the boot if it's included in your service. We're careful with everything, but it's easier and safer for everyone if personal items are out of the car.

Are you insured?

Yes. Every service is covered by public liability insurance up to $20 million. That matters when we're working on your property or in a shared car park around other vehicles. We can provide a certificate of currency for body corporates and building managers on request.

How often should you get your car detailed?

For most daily drivers in Brisbane, a Full Detail every three to six months keeps the car in good shape, with a Fast Detail in between if it gets heavy use. Cars with kids, pets or a dusty commute benefit from more frequent visits. Garaged weekend cars can go longer between details.

Is mobile detailing worth it?

For most people, yes. A mobile detail saves the time spent driving to a workshop, waiting or arranging a lift. The result depends on the detailer's process and gear, not on whether there's a building. The trade-off is that some heavy jobs, like deep paint correction, need good weather and space.

What's the difference between a Full Detail and a Complete Detail?

A Full Detail is a full interior and exterior clean. A Complete Detail includes everything in a Full Detail, plus paint decontamination, a machine polish enhancement and a durable sealant. Choose a Complete Detail when you want the paint looking its best and protected for longer. See our pricing page for both.

How far in advance should I book?

A few days ahead is a good idea, and earlier if you need a Saturday, since that's our only weekend day. Our hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm. The online booking shows the times currently available for your address, so you can pick one that suits you.

Do you work on Sundays?

No. We work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm. If those times don't suit, booking us at your workplace on a weekday is often the easiest option.
